Nationwide Title Clearing employees gathered together in Coachman Park on October 18-21 to celebrate jazz and give back to the community. (PRESS RELEASE - Nov 6th, 2012 Palm Harbor, FL) – Nationwide Title Clearing (NTC), a leading service provider for the residential mortgage industry with clients that include eight of the top 10 residential mortgage servicers in the country, participated in the 33rd Annual Clearwater Jazz Holiday at Coachman Park in Clearwater, FL on October 18-21, 2012.
The Clearwater Jazz Holiday’s mission is to be the leading proponent of jazz entertainment and education in Florida through the annual presentation of a world-class, live music festival in Clearwater, Florida held during the third week of October. The festival’s goal, as a key component of this event, is to promote tourism in Pinellas County.
Even though NTC transacts business nationwide, the company still feels a strong connection to its home town and supports local events. Company-wide, NTC employees contribute to Tampa Bay as a place to live, work and play.
NTC’s employees volunteered 4-5 hours of their time by selling tickets and scanning tickets at the gate. NTC volunteers represented approximately 25% of the total number of volunteers. As a “thank you” for volunteer time, NTC’s employees were invited to stay for the evening’s performance and fireworks at no charge.
“Tourism is an essential industry in the Tampa Bay area,” commented John Hillman, CEO of NTC. “[NTC] enjoys being a part of the vitality of this area, and contributes whenever and wherever we can.”
NTC’s community activities are increasing as they hire more employees. As a large Palm Harbor employer that performs land records research, reporting services and document processing for the residential mortgage servicing industry, NTC has added 130 employees in 2012, with 56 in the last quarter alone. Most documents that NTC processes for mortgage servicers are lien release documents that clear paid-in-full mortgages from land records when borrowers pay off their mortgages, refinance their homes, or sell their homes. NTC has over 300 local employees.
This was NTC’s first year volunteering at the Clearwater Jazz Holiday and plans to continue participating every year. Click here to see more photos from the event.
