NTC is excited to host our 5th Annual Humane Society of Pinellas Food Drive during the month of June. Over the last several years, it has been NTC's goal to help out our furry-friends and restock the shelter's pantry with food that will last all summer long. The HSP also brings an adoptable dog to NTC each year in hopes of finding them a fur-ever home. NTC is proud to say that each year a dog is brought to our headquarters, they are adopted within days of visiting NTC!
NTC's food drive aligns with HSP's Senior Pet Connection, a program that provides animal food for senior pet parents. Many senior's in the Tampa Bay area have a difficult time obtaining their pets food, whether it be from travel restrictions or insufficient funds. Seniors without sign up for the program and have their pets food delivered every month, or as needed.
The Humane Society of Pinellas, HSP, is a non-profit organization that has been keeping pets and people together since 1949. It is also Pinellas County's leading resource for animal advocacy and largest no-kill organization. Not only do they offer adoption and rescue services, but provide educational classes throughout schools to educate children on the responsibility of owning pets and overall animal welfare.
The HSP is always looking for fosters, volunteers, wish list items, sponsors, donations and more! For more information about the Humane Society of Pinellas and how to help out, visit their website.
