Nationwide Title Clearing (NTC) held their summer blood drive on Friday, July 18, 2014. NTC employees donated a total of 55 pints which has the capacity to save 165 lives! One unit of blood can be broken down into four components - red cells, platelets, plasma and cryoprecipitate - and typically two or three of these components are used, so each donation can save up to three lives. NTC is considered a model donation site because of the amount of blood received, the preparedness of the staff and the smoothness of the entire operation. Most employees at NTC find the experience to be a morale booster. Congratulations to NTC's Community Relations Director Janice Rush - her most recent pint donation brought her to a milestone of giving a gallon of blood!
